Cheltenham Ladies’ College Admissions Guide and Tuition

Cheltenham Ladies’ College

Cheltenham Ladies’ College is one of the top performing girls schools in the UK for students aged 11-17. It’s results are consistently excellent and it is a forward thinking school, balancing extra curricular pursuits with academic excellence. There are three entry points for applicants to the school: 11+, 13+ and 16+. Since 2008, British Tutors has worked with girls in Hong Kong, Singapore and the region to guide them through the application process and prepare them for success at all stages, including interviews, pre-tests and entrance exams.

Our team of UK School Entrance tutors is carefully selected for their experience and expertise in preparing students for their interviews and exams and for their ability to inspire and motivate.

How hard is it to get a place at Cheltenham Ladies’ College?

Admission to Cheltenham Ladies’ College is highly competitive; each year they receive approximately twice as many applicants as places.

However, the school’s high academic standards and results, the school are clear that they are looking for girls who are well-rounded in their interests and who are curious and willing to learn. As they say themselves: “There is no 'type' of girl at CLC. What you need is a positive outlook and a willingness to try new things.”

Candidates applying for Year 7 are invited to attend an Assessment Day at Cheltenham Ladies’ College in October of Year 6. The day includes written and adaptive online tests in Maths, English, and Verbal Reasoning, along with group interviews and activities.
